Porto Pollo has two beautiful bays created by the promontory of Isola dei Gabbiani, with far reaching views to the archipelago of the Magdalena Islands. Your base here is the Windsurf Club Baia dei Delfini (bay of dolphins), who have their own Mistral centre and accommodation in a collection of terra-cotta buildings scattered across the hillside above the bay.
The Windsurf Village Porto Pollo is located in the windiest point in Sardinia. The proximity to Corsica creates a funnel effect which brings winds that blow up to 8 Beauforts and over. Due to the structure of the two bays you can choose to surf in the protected safe conditions or risk the adventure of sailing in the channel where the waves crest as tall as a rig.

Porto Pollo is the windiest point in Sardinia and Windsurf Club Baia dei Dephini has the best position on the bay. They have a large selection of the latest Mistral boards and North sails. Instruction is available from excellent instructors for beginners to advanced sailors. It is advisable in high season to pre-book kit as the centre is very busy. During the summer months the centre employs extra staff to organise beach parties, windsurf regattas, beach volleyball tournaments, mountain bike trips and barbecues. The centre also has catarmarans for rental and tuition is available. Also for children aged 7 to 12 their is an animation programme and there is a childrens playground right next to the centre.

WINDSURF VILLAGE BAIA DEI DELPHINI
Scattered along the hillside overlooking the archipelago of Magdalena and the bluffs of Corsica, these simple comfortable apartments are in the perfect location just 150 metres from the sailing area. The one and two bedroom apartments all have kitchen corner, bathroom and balcony or terrace. There is a bar, restaurant and pizzeria, small supermarket, mountain bike hire and tennis courts on site, and a childrens playground on the beach.
