Windsurfing

Jamaica should be a hotspot for windsurfing. Head to this Caribbean joy in the springtime, and you’ll find steady, but not overpowering winds and perfectly consistent waves. The trade winds not only help temper the heat of the glorious sun; they also create ideal conditions for windsurfing.
Despite this, you’ll be surprised to find that the Jamaican shoreline has yet to be saturated with windsurfers. But that’s fine: it just means more space on the waves for you.
There are a number of schools, most notably in Falmouth, and they cater for windsurfers of all levels of experience. Don’t worry if you’ve never done this sort of thing before, the guides are skilled and the sea is just right. You’ll be windsurfing in no time.
