The ski chalet nestles in the heart of the Alps, in the valley of the river Giffre. The 12th Century town of Sixt Fer a Cheval is within walking distance of the Chalet and just 10 minutes drive away lies the beautiful town of Samoens, one of the prettiest alpine resorts with its medieval squares, gothic church, timber framed pattiseries and picture box houses. Geneva, Annecy and Chamonix/Mont Blanc are less than an hour away.

Chalet L'Oreade now offers a B&B alternative as well as the fully catered option in the winter and is available on a self-catering basis in the summer.

The Chalet provides free transport to and from the Grand Massif Express lift in Samoens during the ski season. In just 8 minutes this takes you to the Grand Massif ski area, comprising Sixt, Samoens, Flaine, Morillon and Les Carroz, totalling 265 kms of piste.
