In El Yaque, you will find a spot that probably boasts the highest number of wind days in the world. The wind blows with a force of 3-5 in the morning; after midday, thermal conditions help intensify the trade wind to a force of approximately 4-7.
The centre is right on the palm-fringed beach of the El Yaque Paradise Hotel.
The spot is over 1 km long and a perfect all-round venue, with the consistent sideshore trade winds from the left being boosted by steady thermal conditions. The winds are strongest from December to the end of May. In the summer months, they are not quite so strong. A 300m-long shallow area offers beginners and intermediates optimum conditions. The good wind conditions and the wind swell that develops, together with the waves, guarantee that all advanced windsurfers get their money's worth, too. An ideal spot for practising beach and water starts and gybing.
Freestyle acrobats, in particular, will find excellent conditions and be pampered with the best freestyle equipment on offer
