Trip Highlights
North Luangwa National Park (NLNP) is considered to be one of the last "True Wildernesses" left in Africa. The Park has limited access and few roads so making this a haven for WALKING SAFARIS. The fact that there are so few camps in North Luangwa means that on most occasions you never get to see another person or vehicle. NLNP is also renowned for its large and impressive herds of Buffalo that can number up to 3,000 in one herd. This also attracts numerous Lions as well. NL is now the proud owner of the only Black Rhino in Zambia having been re-introduced over the last few years. The activities are predominantly walking safaris but with a few game and night drives as well. These walks are one of the best ways to get the true Africa feel!! The walks are not endurance walks but more of meander, stopping frequently to look at game, birds, animal tracks and the abundant flora and fauna. These walks are guided by a professional guide and armed National Parks Scout.. The season starts in June and ends at the end of October. June and July are the cooler months with October being the hottest month. We are also proud to be one of the only camps in the Luangwa Valley that accommodates families with young children!! Buffalo Camp is a seasonal camp which is re-built every year in May. This is a bush camp but with all the amenities of a permanent camp (hot and cold running water, flush toilets and comfortable bar and dining area)Price Details
