Dahab is great for windsurfing holidays; it is located on the south eastern side of the Sinai peninsular, facing Saudi Arabia across the Gulf of Aqaba. The scenery is spectacular, starting with the transfer from Sharm el Sheikh airport (approx. 1 hour) winding through cliffs and wadis. In Dahab, the mountains make a picturesque background to the sparkling blue sea. This is one of the best windsurfing spots we offer and is especially good for a wide mixture of abilities and year around excellent conditions.

Itinerary

THE WIND
Dahab has an impressive wind record with around 300 days a year of winds between Force 4 and 7. It also has the benefit of a range of conditions to suit all levels of windsurfer. The wind comes off the land and over the sea in a cross off shore direction generally.

THE WINDSURFING
Dahab is one of our most popular resorts, due to its incredibly reliable year around wind and variety of sailing conditions to suit all abilities. The flat shallow water runs from the beach for 2km before you get past the protection of the sandbank and into the swell coming down the Gulf of Aqaba. It is ideal for beginners, intermediate freestyle and slalom blasting.
Directly from the beach the wind can be quite light and gusty, cleaning up and getting much stronger out at the mouth of the bay. For beginners all the centres have shallow flat water directly in front which is ideal, although the Harry Nass Centre 1 does have the ideal spot with a large shallow protected area with the best wind. For the more advanced sailors the Harry Nass Centre 2 (at the Iberotel) has an ideal launch for direct access to the sand bar and beyond.

Accommodation Details

DAHAB HILTON RESORT
This hotel is built in the style of a Nubian village with gardens and beautiful lagoons, the Hilton has its own private sandy beach. Just a short stroll down the beach from the Ganet Sinai, it gives the additional luxury of an international 5 star hotel.
This new, bungalow-style complex consists of 163 units and is set in a 10,000 sq m garden, laid out with salt-water pools. There is also a large fresh-water pool with terrace, paddling pool and pool snackbar.

SWISS INN DAHAB (Half Board)
This hotel is located on a wide sandy beach with fabulous views of the bay and the Sinai mountains. From the spacious lobby, past the large pool to the rooms facing the sea or the Sinai mountains, it has an upmarket, though personal and relaxing feel.
All rooms have private balconies or terrace, air-conditioning, private bathroom, satellite TV, hairdryer, mini-bar and telephone. Facilities include a freshwater swimming pool and children's pool - two restaurants - snackbars - watersports centre

DAHAB IBEROTEL (Half Board)
The hotel is situated in the main bay of Dahab. The hotel has a heated (according to season) freshwater pool, buffet restaurant featuring theme dinners and a good selection of local and imported wines, beach and pool bar serving refreshing cocktails.
95 tastefully furnished rooms, including family rooms, junior and superior suites and also standard rooms which can be interconnecting. Rooms have sea, pool or garden view, air-conditioning/heating, direct dial telephone and satellite TV.

CORALIA CLUB
Set in lovingly tended gardens the Novotel is an oasis in the dry surroundings of the Sinai. With the longest beach in the bay and the excellent Harry Nass Centre right on your doorstep you could not ask for more.
All rooms are bungalow-style, with the larger category A rooms right next to the water and the standard category B rooms scattered throughout the gardens.

Overlooking the Dahab Bay, Le Méridien Dahab Resort is a majestic resort, designed by the famous architect and interior designer, Alain Jaouen. This is an ideal location for those seeking a superior standard of accommodation on the Dahab Lagoon.
