The windsurfing conditions in Ixia, Rhodes are general bump and jump. There can be some shorebreak and the chop and swell build up the further out you sail. The wind is cross shore from the left. As the wind builds up during the day, beginners are advised to practice and take their lessons in the morning when the water is flatter and the wind lighter.

Surfers Paradise centre is located on a popular pebbly beach in the middle of the bay. There is clean wind right from the shore so you can blast straight out over clear blue water into the bay. It is kitted out with the latest JP and Starboard boards and Neil Pryde rigs. The centre is very friendly with many local windsurfers using it as their base. The centre is also equipped with Hobie Cats & Laser sail boats, pedal boats, jetskis and canoes.

BELAIR BEACH HOTEL
The Belair hotel in Rhodes is located within 100 metres of Surfers Paradise Windsurf Centre, it is perfect for those wishing to be close to the beach. It has 164 rooms spread over 4 floors, all with fridge, satellite TV, air-conditioning (in July, August and September) and balconies facing the sea. The hotel has a swimming pool, children's pool, tennis court and private beach. Close by are supermarkets and restaurants. It is 4kms from Rhodes Town.

NATHALIE HOTEL
The Natalie Hotel is a charming blend of simple Greek hospitality and modern facilities. A small family run hotel with just 60 rooms you can always expect a friendly welcome here. Located in a quiet residential area surrounded by wooded hills of pine and olive trees, you are just 400 metres from the beach and 300 metres from the local tavernas and nightlife. Facilities include a secluded swimming pool (no childrens pool), snack bar, bar and childrens playroom. There is a self-service laundry and irons and hairdryers are available from reception. Fridges, fans and kettles can also be hired. All rooms have shower or bath, wc, telephone and balcony. Some rooms are air-conditioned, which is payable at a supplement locally.
